Dubai unveils citywide Eid Al Fitr 2026 calendar with culture and entertainment
Families and visitors set for immersive experiences across city venues
DUBAI – A citywide programme of cultural, family, and destination-led experiences will mark Eid in Dubai from 19 to 22 March 2026, bringing residents and visitors together across venues and neighbourhoods throughout the emirate.
The comprehensive calendar reflects the scale and diversity of celebrations planned for one of the most significant occasions in the UAE’s cultural calendar. Across public spaces, cultural landmarks and hospitality destinations, the programme offers a blend of tradition, entertainment and community engagement.
As one of the most important moments in the UAE, Eid Al Fitr is marked by gathering, generosity and shared celebration. In Dubai, the occasion unfolds through experiences designed to connect families, residents and visitors across the city. From heritage-driven activities to modern attractions, the programme highlights how Eid continues to evolve while remaining rooted in long-standing traditions.
Part of the wider Season of Wulfa, Eid in Dubai represents the culmination of a seasonal journey that begins with Hag Al Leila and continues through Ramadan. The programme reflects how traditions are shared across generations, creating moments that remain grounded in heritage while accessible to a diverse, multicultural audience.
Citywide moments
Throughout the Eid holiday, government-led activations, destination experiences and community initiatives will take place across Dubai. These include citywide lighting displays, live entertainment, cultural programmes and family-friendly activities that collectively reinforce Eid’s role as a shared occasion across communities.
Ahmed Al Khaja, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), said Eid in Dubai reflects the spirit of togetherness that defines the city. He noted that this year’s programme brings together a wide range of experiences that allow people to celebrate in ways that feel both welcoming and connected to tradition, while continuing the broader journey of the Season of Wulfa.
Eid in Dubai is shaped by moments that bring people together, from family outings and neighbourhood gatherings to cultural encounters and shared meals. Across the emirate, destinations are designed to reflect both Emirati heritage and Dubai’s global identity.
Cultural events
A wide range of cultural venues, government entities and public institutions will host experiences inviting residents and visitors to engage with Eid through storytelling, heritage and live performances.
Expo City Dubai will host “Eid at Terra: Rooted in Tradition” from 19 to 22 March 2026, a four-day programme at Terra Gardens featuring majlis seating, Arabic coffee and dates, live calligraphy, henna, storytelling and traditional crafts. The setting also includes creative workshops and an Eid market designed for families.
Traditional performances will take centre stage at Marsa Boulevard, where the Al Mazyoud Al Harbiya Band will present Emirati cultural shows as part of the Community Development Authority programme. Similarly, Nad Al Sheba Mall will host the Emirati Al Ayyala Troupe, showcasing one of the UAE’s most recognisable heritage performance arts.
Silicon Central Mall will present “Together This Eid” from 20 to 22 March, featuring Sufi dance performances, oud music, henna artistry and children’s workshops alongside a curated retail experience. At Al Shindagha Museum, Dubai Culture will organise an interactive Eid trail across the first three days of the holiday, offering visitors an immersive look at Emirati traditions.
Children’s City will deliver an educational and entertainment-focused programme tailored to families, including live demonstrations of traditional sweets such as halwa, interactive workshops and roaming entertainment designed to engage younger audiences.
At the Museum of the Future, “Fwalat Al Eid by Shalwa” will highlight Khaleeji hospitality through a cultural activation featuring Arabic coffee served by a barista alongside traditional bites. The experience also includes heritage-inspired photo moments, Eidiyas and a festive menu with dishes such as harees.
Family attractions
Family attractions across Dubai will mark Eid through themed experiences and special programming designed to appeal to visitors of all ages. These destinations combine entertainment with interactive activities, reinforcing Dubai’s reputation as a family-friendly city.
Participating venues include The Green Planet Dubai, offering animal encounters and traditional music alongside Eid-themed activities. Dubai Dolphinarium will host live shows and interactive sessions, while Loco Bear Dubai provides indoor entertainment experiences in Al Quoz.
IMG Worlds of Adventure will introduce seasonal Eid promotions and extended holiday experiences, complemented by offerings at Dubai Crocodile Park, which combines wildlife encounters with exploration activities. Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo will also feature special Eid programming for families.
Indoor attractions such as Ski Dubai will present seasonal experiences, while Dubai Parks and Resorts will offer holiday promotions across multiple parks. AYA Universe and House of Hype HyperPass will provide immersive and interactive experiences, combining digital and physical entertainment elements.
Dining offers
Hotels, restaurants and retail destinations across Dubai will mark Eid through curated hospitality experiences, festive menus and seasonal promotions that extend celebrations into everyday settings.
JA Resorts and Hotels will host Eid celebrations across its properties, including dining experiences, family activities and seasonal markets. Al Fanar Restaurant will present “Eid Morning the Emirati Way” from 20 to 22 March, celebrating traditional breakfast customs, alongside its Eid Al Fitr Lahm Tray offering available until 23 March.
JA Hatta Fort Hotel will host Bonfire Nights in collaboration with Project Chaiwala from 6 to 21 March, while also offering an Eid BBQ brunch buffet at Gazebo. JA Ocean View Hotel will present an Eid escape experience along JBR, combining accommodation with dining and leisure options until 28 March.
Dining venues across the city will also feature special Eid menus. Al Nafoorah will focus on Levantine cuisine in an indoor and terrace setting, while Restaurant 81 will host an international buffet with seasonal desserts. Palmito Garden will offer open-air dining designed for relaxed family gatherings.
Jumeirah will introduce a portfolio of Eid staycation offers across beachfront resorts and city hotels, allowing residents and visitors to enjoy short breaks within the UAE.
Retail promotions will continue throughout the holiday period, including the Season of Wulfa “Shop, Scan & Win” campaign offering prizes up to Dh1,000,000 until 22 March. Additional campaigns include Tickit Ramadan Rewards, Samra Jewellery’s personalised Gahwa porcelain set promotion, and the “Eid Sparkle in the City of Gold” initiative by Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group.
The Eid Al Fitr Digital Raffle Campaign 2026, organised by Dubai Shopping Malls Group, will also run across community malls, providing shoppers with opportunities to participate in festive draws.
Live performances
Dubai’s entertainment calendar during Eid will feature a diverse line-up of performances across venues in the city. Events extend beyond the holiday period, ensuring continued engagement for residents and visitors.
The Quirk Comedy Festival featuring Anirban Dasgupta will take place on 21 March at Theatre by QE2. Meanwhile, Bongos Bingo Dubai will host a St Patrick’s Special event on 20 March at Bla Bla Dubai, combining entertainment with a social experience.
These events contribute to a broader entertainment offering that complements cultural and family-focused programming across the city.
Outdoor spaces
Neighbourhood and outdoor destinations will play a key role in Eid celebrations, offering open-air experiences that encourage community participation and family gatherings.
At The Square in Nad Al Sheba Gardens, the Sharqiat Choir will perform live evening shows on 19 and 20 March. The performances will feature classical Arabic compositions, heritage songs and contemporary arrangements, creating a cultural atmosphere within an open-air setting.
In addition, the Eid Run Challenge by Huawei Health will take place from 20 to 29 March, encouraging residents to participate in a virtual wellness initiative across Dubai. The activation promotes physical activity while aligning with the spirit of togetherness associated with Eid.
The wider programme reflects how Eid in Dubai continues to be shaped by a balance of tradition, shared experiences and community participation. Delivered as part of the Season of Wulfa, the initiative brings together culture, hospitality, entertainment and retail in a coordinated citywide celebration.

The Season of Wulfa, led by Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, celebrates key Emirati and Islamic occasions including Hag Al Leila, Ramadan and Eid. The initiative highlights cultural heritage while promoting values of reflection, connection and community across the emirate.
